Lake of the Ozarks is a reservoir in central Missouri that was created by the damming the Osage River. It has a surface area of more than 54,000 acres (220 square km) and at least 1,150 miles (1,850 km) of shoreline. The Village of the Four Seasons, shown here at center, is a popular tourist destination and home to about 2,200 residents .
