Dendritic drainage systems

A dendritic drainage pattern is seen around the Shadegan Lagoon by Musa Bay in Iran. Dendritic literally means branched, as in resembling the pattern of a tree. This shape develops when streams move across relatively flat and uniform rock or over a surface that resists erosion.
